Frequently Asked Questions

Europ Assistance is now Redion. This FAQ answers the most common questions about the rebranding, continuity, and group ownership.

On 26 May, Generali Group introduced Redion, a new global brand that brings together the activities of Europ Assistance and Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) under a single identity and offering.

As part of this transition, on 12 June 2026, Europ Assistance Australia Pty Ltd changed its name to Redion Insurance Pty Ltd. For customers and partners, the teams, coverage, and standards you rely on remain unchanged. Our new name reflects the unified global care platform we have already built, while continuing to deliver the same trusted service and support.

Because we spent years building something the industry had never seen before: a truly unified global care platform. Redion is simply the name that reflects that reality — one brand, one platform, one promise.
This change builds on the investment by Generali Group into the Australian and New Zealand market followings its entry in 2022 and the launch of our own insurance licence in Australia that makes Redion a truly differentiated partner for travel insurance and assistance, controlling the full insurance value chain.

Redion is part of Generali Group, one of the world’s largest integrated insurance and asset management groups, with total premium income of EUR 98.1 billion in 2025.
